POSITION:  Contributing Writer – Ecuador, South America

ABOUT ME: Augusta Georgia had been my home up until I was 22. But then I left Georgia and the United States, and set out on a journey to Ecuador, South America. Here I have made a new life as a missionary; a new life of helping people who are less fortunate then most. I am now 30 and have spent most of my short adult life in a foreign land. I have seen the realities of a poverty stricken country. I have seen the agonies of a people who have practically nothing. But I have witnessed the resilience of the never surrendering human spirit and it has made me appreciate that we are all equal no matter the color of our skin, the language we speak, or the desires of our hearts. We all want and need the same things, happy families, a shoulder to cry on and an opportunity to enjoy life with the people we love.
