ABOUT ME: I was born in Helena, Arkansas. I’m the elder of six children. We migrated to Los Angeles, California in 1963. I attended Manual Arts High school. We joined the United States Army in 1973; this was the beginning of a 30 year career and three children. I had the opportunity to visit Europe, Asia, Germany and many states within our borders. During this time, I have had the pleasure of working with military families, community centers, youth group, and churches.
I BRING TO T2T: To motivate people of all ages, you will find an inspirational article in T2T, “My Date with Cancer.” I bring spiritual gifts that are God’s divine for you; faith, hope & joy. I am dedicated to working with families who are going through life changing events. I am the Founder/Executive Director Joy Keeper, INC., a program to help men and women with breast cancer to bring the “Joy” back into their lives. Bad things happen, but they don’t change who God is. The fight for cancer not only takes a toll on the body, it takes a toll on the patient’s ability to live life as it was pre-cancer. As much as family and friends love the person, they are limited in their ability meet all of their needs. Patients must manage the illness and their day-to-day lives.
